India is a vast nation comprising 29 states and 7 union territories. Each of these 36 entities are uniquely wonderful. In this hub, I will write about various tourist attractions in all these entities.
Andaman and Nicobar Islands
This union territory is famous for its exotic-looking beaches and pristine islands. Radhanagar Beach, Jolly Buoy Island, Laxmanpur Beach, Cellular Jail, Howrah Bridge, Bharatpur Beach, Ross Island, Elephant Beach, Kalapathar Beach and Makruzz are major tourist attractions in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The Venkateswara Temple, a Vaishnavite temple located in the hill town of Tirumala, is a major cultural landmark of India. Arunachal Pradesh

Namdapha National Park, Lake Roing, Taktsang Gompa, Craft Centre & Emporium in Itanagar, Sessa Orchid Sanctuary, Ziro Puto and Pakhui Wildlife Sanctuary are among the main tourist attractions in Arunachal Pradesh.
Assam
Assam is famous for its wildlife, archeological sites, silk bazaars, hospitable population, exotic dance forms, picturesque golden-green vista of rice fields, temples and tea plantations.
Kaziranga National Park & Tiger Reserve is a major tourist attraction in Assam. This UNESCO world heritage site was opened for visitors in 1937. It is home to tigers, elephants and the world’s largest population of Indian one-horned rhinoceroses.
Kamakhya Temple, Purva Tirupati Shri Balaji Temple, Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, Umananda Temple, ISKCON Temple, Saraighat Bridge and The Maati Center are other main tourist attractions in this beautiful state.
Bihar
Bihar is famous for its Buddhist pilgrimage sites. The Mahabodhi Temple, which is located in Bodh Gaya, is an ancient, but much rebuilt and restored, Buddhist temple. It marks the location where the Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Ruins of Nalanda University, Takht Sri Patna Sahib, Hanuman Mandir, Royal Bhutan Monastery, Great Buddha Statue, Thai Monastery, Buddha Smiriti Park and Patna Museum are other major tourist attractions in Bihar.
Chandigarh
Designed by Swiss-French modernist architect, Le Corbusier, Chandigarh is a well-planned union territory.
The Open Hand monument is the official emblem of Chandigarh. This giant public sculpture looks like a cross between a flying dove and an open hand.
Chandi-Devi Mandir, Nek Chand's Rock Garden, Rose Garden and Sukhna Lake are other major tourist attractions in Chandigarh.
Chhattisgarh
Chitrakote Falls, which is located in Bastar district, is a beautiful natural waterfall. This 29-meter-tall wonder of nature is formed by River Indravati.
Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary, Shri Rajiv Lochan Mandir, Mahakoshal Art Gallery and Purkhauti Muktangan are other major tourist attractions in this heavily forested state.
Dadra and Nagar Haveli
Located in Western India, this union territory is well-known for its health resorts, gardens and parks.
The Vanganga Lake Garden, which is spread over 7.58 hectares, is a popular shooting spot. Here you will find Japanese style bridges, jogging tracks, fountains and restaurants.
Hirwavan Garden, Dudhni, Tribal Museum, Khanvel Garden, Portuguese Church and Lion Safari are popular among tourists.
Daman and Diu
You will find many churches in this western Indian union territory. The St. Paul’s Church in Diu is in baroque architecture. This 400-year-old Catholic church is dedicated to Lady of Immaculate Conception.

National Capital Territory of Delhi
This vibrant city and union territory houses three UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Red Fort is one among them.
Red Fort was the main residence of Mughal emperors for around two centuries. Its planning is based on Islamic prototypes, but each pavilion reveals architectural elements typical of Mughal building, reflecting a fusion of Persian, Timurid and Hindu traditions.
Bahai Temple, Swaminarayan Akshardham, Humayun's Tomb, Gandhi Smriti and Qutab Minar are other major tourist attractions in this region.
Goa
This western Indian state is famous for its churches and beaches. Calangute beach is the largest beach in North Goa. You will find many shops, boutiques, hotels and resorts here.
Church of St. Francis of Assissi, Naval Aviation Museum, Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, Sinquerim Beach and Saturday Night Market are other major tourist attractions in this small state.
Gujarat
The Statue of Unity, which is located near Sardar Sarovar Dam in Gujarat, is a statue of Indian statesman, first Deputy Prime Minister of India, senior leader of the Indian National Congress and founding father, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It is the tallest statue (182 meters) in the world.
Gir National Park, Dwarkadhish Temple, White Desert, Sabarmati Ashram and Swaminarayan Akshardham are other popular tourist attractions in Gujarat.
Haryana
Located in Thanesar, Brahma Sarovar is a large (3600 ft long, 1500 ft broad and 45 ft) man-made pond. It is an exquisite and breathtaking tourist attraction in the region.
Pinjore Gardens, Le Corbusier Center, Mahendra Chaudhary Zoological Park and Begum Samru Palace are among the main tourist attractions in this beautiful North Indian state.
Himachal Pradesh
Namgyal Monastery in McLeod Ganj, Dharamshala, is the personal monastery of the 14th Dalai Lama. It houses around 200 Tibetan monks, who help preserve the its ancient rituals, artistic skills and traditions.
Rohtang Pass, Ridge in Shimla, Hidimba Devi Temple, Dalhousie and Spiti Valley are among many popular tourist attractions in Himachal Pradesh.
Jammu and Kashmir
Verinag spring is the source of River Jhelum. This large spring has a circumference of 80 meters. It is located at a height of 1,876 meters.
Shankarcharya Temple, Floating Vegetable Market, Dachigam Wildlife Sanctuary, Spituk Monastery and Dehra Ki Gali are among many popular tourist attractions in this North Indian state.
Jharkhand
The Baidyanath Jyotirlinga Temple, which houses one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, is located in Deoghar. It is also known as Baba Baidyanath Dham and Baidyanath Dham.
Ranchi Lake, Tata Steel Zoological Park, Canary Hill, Bokaro Steel City, Rikhia Yogashram, Usri Fall and Teliagarhi Fort are other major tourist attractions in Jarkhand.
Karnataka
The Virupaksha temple, which is in constant worship, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is located in Hampi. One amazing feature of this temple is the usage of mathematical concepts to build and decorate it. Its repeated patterns demonstrate the concept of fractals. It is a triangle shaped temple.
Jog Falls, Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, Kapu Beach, Bhagawan Bahubali Statue and Lalbagh are other major tourist attractions in Karnataka.
Kerala
Hawa beach in Kovalam is a beautiful beach that is well-known for its adventure activities, tranquility and scenic beauty. It is also known as Eve's beach.
Alappuzha Beach, Pothamedu ViewPoint, Thirunakkara Mahadeva Temple, Thusharagiri Waterfalls and Deepa World Spice and Ayurvedic Garden are among main tourist attractions in Kerala.
Lakshadweep
Agatti Island is a 7.6 km long island. It is located on a coral atoll known as Agatti atoll. It is famous for crystal clear water and beautiful marine life. Scuba diving and snorkeling are popular activities here.
Bangaram Atoll, Kadmat Island, Kalpeni and Kavaratti are other major tourist attractions in Lakshadweep.
Madhya Pradesh
The unexplored Sailani Island enables you to discover the splendour of Madhya Pradesh. It is located in the backwaters of Indira Sagar Dam in Khandwa district, near Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga shrine.
Kanha Tiger Reserve, Bhimbetka rock shelters, Gwalior Fort, Khajuraho Temples and Kandariya Mahadev Temple are other major tourist attractions in Madhya Pradesh.
Maharashtra
Ajanta Caves are rock-cut Buddhist cave monuments. The first Buddhist cave monuments at Ajanta date from the 2nd and 1st centuries BC. They have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983.

Shri Shri Govindaji Temple is in Imphal. Located next to the palace, it is the largest Hindu temple in Imphal.

Meghalaya
Meghalaya, which means "The abode of clouds" in Sanskrit, is a beautiful, cool, pine-fresh mountain state in Northeast India.
Located in Cherrapunjee, the magnificent Jingkieng Nongriat Double Decker Living Root Bridge is made of Indian Rubber Tree.
It is 3 kilometers long and placed at a height of 2400 feet. It is an innovative mix of nature and engineering. The Umshiang River flows beneath the bridge.
Shillong Peak, Elephanta Falls, Wards Lake, Lady Hydari Park and Barapani are other major attractions in Meghalaya.
Mizoram
Phawngpui Peak (2157 meters), which is located in Saiha district, is famous for orchids and rhododendrons. It is also known as Blue Mountain.
Durtlang Hills, Solomon's Temple, Mizoram State Museum, Reiek Heritage Village and Tamdil Lake also attract tourists to this Northeast Indian state.
Nagaland
Shilloi Lake is a picturesque foot-shaped lake. It is located in the heart of the Patkai range, bordering Myanmar. It has an area of 0.5 to 0.30 square kilometers.

Odisha

Sri Aurobindo Ashram, a spiritual community located in Pondicherry, grew out of a group of disciples who had gathered around Sri Aurobindo after he retired from politics and settled in Pondicherry in 1910. It is located along the coast of the Bay of Bengal.
